The middle drawer has dividers and I think it might be intended for silverware. As for the giant drawer on the top, I don't think I own enough of whatever that's supposed to be used for. The other 3 compartments are all large enough to be general purpose.
@neal might be linens? Like tablecloths and runners and napkins. They’d look better when folded large bc less creases = more neat and storing them in the buffet keeps them conveniently located
