How can I develop more games at a faster rate without a drop in quality? 🤔

I'm making up for a lost decade where I abandoned this hobby. I have more ideas than I know what to do with.

@sean Might not be applicable for your situation, but the classic answer to this is re-use. For example, Gust used to do 2 or 3 games in a series with basically the same engine and a lot of the same or only slightly updated graphics. Some of my favorite games from the shareware era were done by people who did a small game then flipped a concept to get a completely different game with relatively minor changes.

@neal that's actually a pretty cool idea, and partially a goal of my own games. I plan on making it all FOSS and Creative Commons, with asset packs and free code that anyone can play with.
