Finished writing up a section of a document that goes over useful formulae for coffee roasters. More of a plug your numbers in like this to get that information out sort of thing than anything that explains why that works. While it's useful to know how to derive the math, it's obnoxious to have to do that every time you forgot the formula you came up with last time and for a lot of people in the profession it's been a long time since they were in an algebra class.

@neal
That sounds like interesting work! What kind of variables are you characterizing?

@professor_stoke It's really basic stuff. Not that interesting. Mostly going from calculating % weight loss to calculating green needed to produce a desired amount of roasted, getting numbers to plug into cost calculations, &c.

Just looked up typica, looks really cool. Love that it's free software!

@professor_stoke Thanks. While there are more options now, when I started working on that Typica was the only free software of its type. It was also the first cross platform (not tied to Windows) option for roasters who wanted something like this.
