I'm looking for #woocommerce payment solutions that won't give my phone number to customers. I have paypal, but they now require customers to create an account to pay with credit cards, so it's gotta go.

@mwlucas hey @neal, you recently implemented a privacy-respecting payment processing system for your web shop - have you any advice or guidance to offer here?

@gnomon @mwlucas I doubt my experience with that is relevant here since I did about the minimum that keeps me legal for my use case in a very C-like C++ using libcurl to hit Stripe/Shippo endpoints and not otherwise integrating with a broader e-commerce platform because that was fun. The whole respecting customer privacy bit is a side effect of doing otherwise being more work so... just... don't write that code?
