Is "people are moving from Xen to KVM" a thing? If so, is the latter "run a normal OS just with VMs in it"?

@federicomena I still read KVM as a box with a chonky dial on it that lets you plug a keyboard, video display, and mouse into multiple computers and turn the dial to the computer you want to use with a satisfying thunk sound.
