I am so embarrassingly bad at steaming milk, ugh.

(The espresso shop across the street is closed on weekends this winter as the employees are taking some time to visit their families, so I'm making do. Badly. Quite badly indeed.)

@gnomon I don't know what you're using, but if it's any consolation, most home machines are a lot harder to use for that compared with commercial machines. Generally underpowered and then a lot of them also have an attachment that adds another tube going back up that I honestly wish they'd cost optimize out because I've never seen a machine that doesn't work better if you take that off and pretend it doesn't exist.

@neal I'm doing it on extra-hard mode: for espresso machines I have the Flair Pro 2, an Espressoforge, and a Portaspresso. They're all no-boiler models. For steaming I have a Bellman 50SS, and an electric coil stovetop - worst of all possible worlds. It _works_, and someone with skill could probably do a passable job with it, but it's rough.
