New computer has arrived at a shipping facility about 1.5 hours drive away. Still scheduled for delivery Wednesday. I'm hoping it shows up early.

Cat wants to play video games with me but my thumbs are not doing the button pressing right for the ones she likes so it's time to switch to something that requires less precision.

The Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 bundle on PSN is apparently intended for people who are bad enough at arithmetic to not notice that it costs more than buying the stuff in the bundle separately. ($39.98 for the two collections when purchased separately or $39.99 when purchased together)

Deleted accounts on the gitea server from spamy looking names that didn't activate their accounts. Manually activated a new account from someone I know to be a real human who emailed that they failed to notice the activation email in their junk folder for >3 hours.

Should I do an unboxing video when the new computer arrives? The last machine I got from them came in a cool box.

Every time someone mentions amaroq my brain interprets that as amarok and I get confused because those are very different programs.

Got an email from someone who wants to interview me for his YT channel since we'll be at the same event in a couple weeks.

Grocery shopping was expensive. Needed food stuff and cleaning stuff and cat stuff.

@kropot I think there's a critical mass of brands on birdsite. It caters to having good numbers that you can show managers to justify time wasted on ineffective marketing. Here we have people, instead.

@kropot With 28 followers here I can get >60 notes on a cat picture. Before shutting down the birdsite account I had somewhere between 2000 and 3000 followers and couldn't get any of them to click a link.

I have a delivery estimate on the new computer. Should arrive Wednesday. Seems like UPS could get it here faster, but I'll see what happens.

Family from out of town came through yesterday. That was nice, but I stayed out entirely too late and then the cat decided to yell at me in the middle of the night.

Hmm... there's USB C on there as well, so maybe I can get it up to 8 screens with those? (probably not) I have no idea what I'd even do with that much screen space but I kind of want to know if it's possible.

Other spec differences compared with this machine: about 2x clock speed, a couple extra cores, 4x RAM, 5x VRAM, 24x storage. Should be a nice upgrade all around. If I outgrow the specs any time soon I'm doing something wrong.

One thing I'm curious about with the new machine is how many external displays I can realistically use at the same time. I've never had a laptop with 3 ports for external displays (how bad does performance get if I try to plug in 2x screens on each of 2x DisplayPort plus 1 on HDMI plus built in screen, all 4K? Can I borrow someone else's screens to find out?)
