Hard to work on stuff when the cat has your arm pinned down.

Cat is purring loudly and really into the head scratches tonight.

Drafted a few more sections of my coffee roasting book. I think these sections need graphs. I should put together placeholders to insert so I don't forget to go back and create those.

As expected, no bomb went off.

Funeral had too much food so I have another plate to eat before changing water filters.

I also didn't pay the people who threatened to publicize me masturbating and the porn I was watching. That threat always seemed kind of weird. Like, if anybody noticed they'd probably share a kink and that could be the start of a deepening friendship.

A 2nd, slightly different version of the same bogus bomb threat just arrived. Still not buying it.

Another day, another day I'm not going to get around to updating my servers. I don't want to let my Mastodon/PeerTube/Gitea/Nextcloud installs get too far behind the latest releases but I've got too many other things that need attention right now and it's not like I've got a lot of users to support on those servers.

Just got a completely non-credible bomb threat by email telling me the bomb won't go off if I send bitcoin. Let me be clear. Even if I believed that there was a bomb (and I don't), I would not pay them. The last line is particularly amusing.

Throwing the baby out with the bathwater is supposed to be an obvious mistake but sometimes you're a time travelling nanny, the baby is hitler, and maybe it's fine to throw out that baby with the bathwater.

Cat wants to hang out.

@cardassianvole There's not enough for bats to eat in the house and the cat will go after them so I need to get them out quickly.

@cardassianvole Right? I wish I knew where the bats get in. I catch and release a couple of those per year.

@cardassianvole My cat thinks human food is bad, probably because she was living off trash for about a week before I knew that the thing that was hiding in the house was a cat (she broke in).

Cat was very interested in the groceries, but I didn't get anything for her.

Short work day tomorrow due to funeral. Need to remember to bring a suit.
