@gnomon I keep telling people: vanilla and mulling spices. It's better.
PS. If you're creating a coffee roasting plan designer, please implement a relaxed cubic spline solver in that. It doesn't come out of the box with whatever GUI toolkit you're using, but it's not hard and it will work so much better than what you were going to try instead.
It's a cheap enough thing and it's only the one defect so while I can't sell it, it's also not worth the labor involved in getting a credit so I'm just going to take that home. While I have plenty of ways to make tea, shockingly they're all for a decent sized pot of tea. Nothing for making a small cup of tea, and this fixes that.
New tea infusers arrived today. One of these arrived in a functional but defective way. It's supposed to be a tea ball on a chain with a pink owl that can hang on the edge of the cup for easy tea removal. The pink base coat is there, but some parts are supposed to have white, black, or yellow highlights to make it more obvious that it's supposed to be a bird and not some sort of pink hell spawn.
Typing this from a new tiny keyboard. It's some ridiculous gamer thing with features that I'll never use, but so far it feels decent to type on. I might want to see if it's possible to swap the Windows key (which I never use and there's apparently a key combination built in to just outright disable that) with the fn key which I'd rather have available on the left to make it easier to access the arrow keys, but I think I can get used to this either way.
@janellecshane Not sure if Big Fuzzy is scary or the best supermarket ever.
@technomancy @mhoye Maybe some day (would definitely be a good conversation piece), but I don't have much time before the trip so for now I'll just have to go with something I can pick up in a store locally.
The cat has some clear preferences when it comes to games. She generally enjoys rhythm games, but the Project Diva games in particular (the cat is a big Hatsune Miku fan somehow). Games where sounds come out of the controller are generally appreciated. Slower paced action games are also good, especially if they have a good soundtrack. She's not a fan of VR games and will want to curl up around my feet if I'm playing one of those. And she especially hates Catlateral Damage for some reason.

@apLundell@octodon.social @Taweret@octodon.social @sng Pro tip: vanilla and mulling spices. Tastes better, avoids the crazy mark ups that companies have learned they can charge by calling something "pumpkin spice".
The fourth and final flight deals with dark roasts and different approaches to dealing with the range from around the end of first crack through to the end of the roast.
The third flight is a medium roast where the difference is in time after the coffee changes color from green to yellow, but before the coffee changes from yellow to brown. This usually has a big impact on sweetness.
The 2nd flight deals with overall roasting time in a light roast with a baseline roast, one with all the difference front loaded to before significant roasting chemistry is happening and another where the difference is distributed proportionally through the roast.
