@stux I never trust auto-save, which is weird since it usually works just fine. I still don't trust it.

@federicomena Just to check on the obvious, but is it possible that the links you've been clicking include that time in the middle it's seeking to? Some people don't realize that YouTube can put that into the sharing links and don't bother to strip it out.

@Taweret In fairness it gained independence relatively recently (a few decades ago iirc) so if you're old and don't pay attention to such things that would be an easy one to miss.

I did show one of them how to get into the yard so they could do that and reassured them that I'd far rather they just retrieved their balls on their own than pester me about it, though I can understand not wanting to trespass on stranger neighbor's property, especially if you're a person of color in America not wanting to get shot (I have no intention of owning a gun and wouldn't shoot a kid getting his ball back even if I did, but I know that's not universally true).

It looks like one of the neighbor kids got his ball out of my back yard while I was at work. I noticed it this morning and since there are now people playing who could confirm it was theirs before I tossed it over I was going to do that, but I don't have to because the ball isn't there anymore.

Updated the shop's web site to put the new Guatemalan coffee up for sale there and the couple days the shop will be closed for Labor Day.

Ran into one of my customers at the grocery store. We were both disappointed by the inadequate stocking. She was on her third store. I can't be bothered to hit more than one per day so I'm just doing without.

While looking for something else this morning I found a big pile of Nintendo DS games I didn't even realize I was missing.

It's still hot out so it's another round of night roasting. Last night the cat yelled at me for getting home so late, having forgotten that I also left the house much later in the day.

@mike The seats got smaller and leg room is only available for small children, but on the plus side you get to laugh at people who thought they were going to work on their laptop getting their machines crushed whenever the person sitting in front of them moves.

Due to the heat I'm switching to night roasting to give the AC a chance to keep up. That's also a good time to recharge the water softeners and change the filters.

Hard to believe it's been September for over three decades now.

Evaluated roast progressions on two more coffees from recent shipments, but I don't have time to do production test batches today and have tomorrow scheduled as a work from home day (might come in after closing anyway to do some equipment maintenance that's hard to do when the shop is open) so I'll delay getting those out on the shelf for a couple more days.

@gnomon I even had the escape character that needed to precede the missing quote character.

Took the time to get to the bottom of another bug blocking the release of the next version of CRUCS.

Nevermind, the old good thing is still there. They just hid it a little better.

One of my suppliers seems to have made their web site worse. They used to have a very good CSS for printing orders that saved on both toner and paper. That's been replaced with a slightly worse in both areas PDF download that takes too many clicks to get and printing directly from the web page is just awful in paper waste now.

My 2nd choice of lunch had banana splits on the menu and after the bad experience at my first pick I think I needed the ice cream.
