I think I need to put out a 1.9.1 release with that fix, but not today.

Ran into, tracked down, and fixed a bug in Typica. Honestly surprised nobody reported this one or that it didn't bite me sooner.

There's a spider on the ceiling and my cat is fascinated and slightly disturbed by it.

I'd take my dad's cat home with me but she's a jerk toward my cat and doesn't like moving out of her house.

During the extra-early morning cat visit the cat had two sessions of sitting on me and we took a nap. This means I can skip the evening cat visit today and get home to my own cat sooner.

Driver had poor spacial awareness and did a lot of cursing, but I got him through the delivery.

Coffee delivery is here. Driver is making more work for himself than he needs to, but whatever.

There's a DNS propagation checker that shows success everywhere except Mumbai, but they don't have a check for Racine, WI.

Provisioned another server to do some exploratory dev stuff. Now I'm waiting both for my coffee delivery (should be arriving within the next couple hours) and for DNS propagation.

Today I was woken up because the morning shift couldn't figure out how to get the charge terminal working. I specifically asked if it was plugged in before going in, but yeah, it wasn't plugged in. Doing the cat visit early.

Picnic basket is perhaps not the best choice of weapon when attempting to slay a dragon.

The plan this instance runs on got a free upgrade so typica.us was down a couple minutes to make extra storage available. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Once I had ECRs where the software didn't have the ability to save reports to a user specified location (you could save the reports, but it would always be buried under a dozen levels of cryptic directories so to find them you had to search the filesystem for recently created/modified files) but it did have background music. Needed to remember to mute the audio before attempting to update PLUs.

The bar for doing better is, IMO, pretty low.

Coffee is getting delivered tomorrow. Currently enjoying the new Ethiopian coffee from the previous shipment (getting new labels/register programming ready for that so I can start selling it now that I'm happy with the roast).

One of these days I'll get some time to work on a replacement for the ECRs since those are all pretty awful to program and I'm also unimpressed by the POS software that I've seen. I can do better for my needs.

"... Linux users used to say "You wouldn't buy a car with the hood welded shut!" With Linux..."

That's not to imply feedback would not be welcome on other issues as well.

I got a couple feature requests for Typica today.

For the first one I'd welcome community feedback on whether the trivial change requested is either of value or not detrimental as something that could be available (well, is, in the feature branch so you can test that and see what you think) before the broader work that I think makes more sense is done. Typica users, free to reply here or on the github issue page if you have any strong feelings one way or the other.
