Dad's cat want to lick my shrimp lunch.

I keep getting email from the Royal Opera House in London and I'm like sure, I saw a really good performance of Rigoletto there several years ago but there's an ocean in the way of going back.

Staff shuffled themselves around so I can maybe get some sleep.

Looks like I'll need to plan on a couple more days of baking. It wouldn't be so bad if I weren't also covering the closing.

Time for breakfast with this cat

The challenge here is that a lot of the recipes were typed up by my mother and some of them are missing details like units or forgetting to mention when to add one of the ingredients. Nothing too hard to figure out if you know what you're doing, just something to be aware of.

Sister still isn't feeling up to baking so I'm back in the kitchen.

It's smaller on the outside.

I set an alarm this weekend since I needed to get up early to do the baking at the shop. My cat thinks the alarm means that it's time for cuddles.

Cameras should have green eye reduction (like red eye reduction but for photos of cats).

Shop is open. Time for breakfast with this cat.

I used to let another site take care of that, but handling it myself lets me keep a bigger chunk of the money and the people supporting my work seem to be more comfortable doing that on my site directly rather than going through third party sites. Doing a basic Stripe integration is pretty easy.

I think I should update the page where people can send money to support my software development work to allow recurring payments. It's a little more work server side to set that up, run the transactions, let people cancel, but it's probably worth doing that.

Today's blueberry cake turned out very blue.

Today I made chocolate chip orange scones, blackberry muffins, raspberry muffins, banana nut bars, and blueberry coffee cake.

Okay, I was wrong about people not going for the banana bread. Everything mostly sold out.

All the scones sold, all the blueberry muffins sold, all the cupcakes sold, there's 1 slice of cheesecake left, most of the lemon poppyseed muffins have sold, most of the rice crispy treats sold. The only thing people don't seem to want today is the banana chocolate chip bread.

Did a morning cat visit after getting the shop open. I needed a nap.

The cheesecake sank, but it's delicious so that sort of surface imperfection can be fixed with some topping.
