Last night I spent some time playing around in Vocaloid 5. Amy can be a nice voice.

The little rubbery feet under my old MIDI keyboard seem to have degraded into some awful sticky mush that's hard to wash off. I keep that on a stand so those don't really help anything. I've scraped the residue off.

Internet access was briefly down at home and I started rearranging the living room.

The local time is 1:19AM and I'm going to eat some pineapple.

The cat likes to "help" around the house (where help means sit on/next to me). Tonight she got to hang out with me while I sorted the pile of junk mail into stuff that can be tied up for recycling and stuff that needs to get shredded first.

Someone, please talk me out of starting a monthly vlog.

When I arrived at work, this is all the brewed coffee that was available to drink.

So far I've only tasted one of these new roasts, but the body is much improved and there's more intensity of flavor. Less sweetness on the initial sip, but it still comes out nicely as the coffee cools. I might run some of this through the espresso machine later and see how it performs there.

The person who recently sent me a bag of coffee that ended up delivered to the wrong address sent a couple different roasts after I told him that it didn't show up, but before my neighbor got around to bringing it over. That arrived today.

The coffee in the previous shipment was a nice, sweet, clean light roast. I commented that just as a matter of my own personal preference I'd probably opt for something a little darker to bring up the body.

The new shipment has darker coffee and I do prefer.

There's a cat walking through my back yard.

I should go back there some time.

In Thailand, the hotel I was staying at had cats. There was one cat in particular who showed me up to my room when I checked in, tried to walk into my room as I was heading out. One night I found it out on the balcony and had to let it back into the hotel, and it waited with me while I was waiting for my ride back to the airport.

My most recent trip there I got a call about a week before an event from someone who wanted to know if my visa was still good and if I could fly down on that short a notice to teach some classes. I already had a vacation in Thailand booked for a week after that was over so I spent a lot of time in the air that month.
