I need to roast more coffee. There are orders to put together and shelves to fill.

Slammed through the run through of the class I'm teaching soon with my station instructors. That went a little faster than expected, but everybody seems to be good with the changes that I made for this event.

(also, in the unlikely event that someone reading this here organizes another trade event with a coffee roaster education aspect, you can totally hire me to customize/deliver this workshop for your event, too.)

Getting in some last minute tweaks to my class before the run through with station instructors. When I first designed this I tried to make it easy to customize for different events that might have different machines/number of stations/time constraints/&c. and that's paying off now.

Presentation template for retreat this year is very yellow.

Went into work early today because it was move everything in the store before it opens day. The cat seemed confused as I was leaving.

I spent too much time for this thing, toooo much.
Hyperbolic "cats", yes, let's say that are cats.

Partially related: I discovered that it's "horocycle" not "horror cycle": mathematicians, you break my heart.

Test batch with the new computer hooked up at the roaster landed perfectly on spec.

I've got the new machine as far set up as it's going to get today. It's working with both roasters, the batch tag printer is set up. All that's left is to bring in an HDMI cable since the new machine doesn't have a VGA port for the external display.

Setting up a new computer in the roasting area. The old one self destructed (defective battery warped everything) and is no longer suitable. Sadly, I couldn't get the budget approved to put in something good.

At least the manufacturer does offer this model with Linux so it shouldn't be too challenging to make that change later if I swap out the data acquisition hardware on the roasters for stuff that works there. Windows 10 is not exactly fit for purpose.

I was asked to write 3-5 statements on my views of the sample roasting spec so the people teaching that class could bring in my perspective on what I think is important (a few other people with very different experience were asked to do the same thing). I should post those some time after the class.

The lemon is not naturally occurring, and is a hybrid developed by cross-breeding a bitter orange and a citron.

Life never gave us lemons; we invented them all by ourselves.

The cat was really excited tonight when I opened the new bag of cat food. I think she'd like it if the bags were smaller so new ones could be opened more frequently.
