Laptop currently sounds like one of those tiny prop planes that you need to get into places with tiny grass runways surrounded by mountains (or rather, getting back out of such places) or how you might imagine such a thing sounding as it's sputtering while running out of fuel.

It looks like the last thing that I wrote might be getting released outside the working group on a faster time table than I expected. This is fine.

What's the appropriate level of inebriation for dealing with US airport security?

The machines are old enough that I'm using the thickest conical gaskets I can get.

The non-cleaning supplies were replacement group gaskets for two espresso machines so I can get those in before I leave.

The shop got a box of mostly cleaning supplies today with an assortment of padding material.

The lower right cup in that photo is particularly amazing now that I've finished tasting all of these.

me: I should try and get into the habit of going to the co-working space more
cat: *is small, cute, soft*
cat: *sits on me*
me: I'm never leaving the house again

Cat keeps getting stuck to things tonight, expects me to follow her around the house unhooking her from stuff.

Latest I've heard about the fan is that they're going to get the correct part sent out to arrive by Wednesday so I can swap that in and get the old part and the wrong part shipped back before I'm travelling. No tracking number yet so it'll end up being an overnight shipment for that to happen.

Still good on breakfast supplies. I'll need to increase my rate of bagel consumption so those can be gone. Sometimes it's tricky to plan out the food situation before trips like this.

I ran out of dinner food so I need to do some grocery shopping for another 3 nights unless I just want to have too much take out. Having something that won't go bad so I don't need to hit a grocery store on the way back from the airport would also be a good idea. And I'll need to get enough cat supplies that my sister won't need to buy those. (my cat moves in with her when I travel)

I think I'll stick with only having about 1/3 of the case screws on this at least until the replacement part is in. Five screws really ought to be enough, right?

I wonder how bad it would be if I didn't put back the 5 screws under my laptop keyboard. It can't be good to keep popping that out pushing it back in and it would speed things up if I ever need to disconnect the not externally accessible battery again.
