Obviously you should caption images to help people with visual impairments, but here's some other reasons to do it:

⭐ If the site doesn't load properly an alt text description might make people interested enough to check it out later.

⭐ If you took a screenshot of text, it might not be readable on different devices depending on image format.

⭐ Writing descriptions forces you to think critically: what is important? If you struggle with promoting yourself/your art, this is low risk training!

Plumber thinks he has exactly what's needed to just replace the pipe and will stop in first thing in the morning to look at that. Hopefully we can get that back up and running. It's good to have people with useful skills as customers.

Replacement roaster part arrived but when I tried removing the old one I found something that's beyond what I should be handling myself. After a consult with the manufacturer we both agreed that I should call a gas technician to look at that. They suggested that I refer to it as a "gas fired appliance" since nobody knows what a "coffee roaster" is, but I called the guy who did the gas install on my little roaster (also a regular customer).

It feels like the world is vibrating around me. That can't be good.

Toasters should have one setting. That setting should produce toast.

Roaster part didn't arrive yesterday so I'm spending all day today roasting tiny batches of coffee for orders. USPS tracking says they'll deliver the part for the big roaster tomorrow.

When you go to the polls Tuesday, remember that alt-right is just another way of saying wrong.

Tried the demo for the new Tetris game. I enjoyed it, found the VR mode enhanced the experience. The cat, however, is not a fan.

This is such an odd trend in junk email.

I think I want a hanging chair for my library.

Persistent cold call scam person: People can't find your web site!

Me (in my head): And yet you managed to find it just fine.

Me (in real life): *hangs up phone*

Some of the food on Korea Air flights is complicated. For one of the meals I was asked if I'd had it before and when I said no I got a big leaflet with step by step instructions on how to assemble the food from the ingredients presented on the tray. That was neat, though challenging in the limited amount of space in an economy seat.

You have been visited by margaret hamilton. Fast code and moon landings will come to you but only if you boost this toot

In case any of you wanted to know what infrared gas burners looks like, here's a picture. My larger roaster has two of these running down the length of the drum. They're considerably less polluting than the more common atmospheric burners, but you need to read farther ahead on your roasting plan because it takes a while between changing the burner setting and seeing the impact of that change.

In the mean time, we've been roasting the coffee in 2 pound batches on the little machine (thankfully calibrated so the same roasting plans work on both), which works in the short term but would not be sustainable at our volume.

The big roaster has been down (got an email when I was at ICN on my way home). After rather a lot of troubleshooting I happened to notice that the wire going to the spark plug had fallen out, which would explain why the burners weren't lighting. Part ordered. Thankfully I'm in a zone where USPS is 1 day so if that ships out tomorrow I should get it Saturday with only slightly obscene shipping costs rather than private shippers wanting more than the part itself costs for next day.
