A shakerato sounds good right now. I think I'll make one. @gnomon

My credit union is showing a pending deposit from Amazon for $11.39 (and another one that looks more normal for 16 cents) and I can't see anything in any reports to explain where such a large amount is coming from.

Idea for TV show: just the commercials for TV comedies run back to back.

It took a while to find the right wrench but today's plumbing adventures were successful.

Obtained the trophy for, "Defeating all blow the volcano."

A while back I was at an event having a beer with the owner of another coffee roasting company and he was showing me his shiny new e-commerce site and was really happy with how that looked and worked, but he couldn't even manage to migrate his mail order business over to the site and had gotten precisely 0 web orders as of that date.

Hoping to have my shop's site able to take orders soon. I'm being stupid and writing that functionality from scratch instead of just paying for something that works mainly because 1) I enjoy writing software and 2) I have no idea if anybody will even want to place orders through my site and don't want something that's going to be an ongoing cost for no sales.

Got an email letting me know my API calls are working as designed, which seems like a strange email to get, but yeah, I agree. The errors are all proper errors and the successes are returning expected results and so far everything is running in test mode and I'm reading the responses.

Bakery sold me the wrong kringle today. I ordered cherry cheese, the bag was marked cherry cheese, the contents were just cheese, no cherry.

There are a couple new people and a couple more new hires who will be starting a little later so I'll be spending more time at the bar helping people learn the job before heading to GA mid-August to teach coffee roasting classes.

She'll get more practice with those skills today with lots of supervision then tomorrow it'll be review and moving on to doing espresso and milk at the same time and some basic drink assembly. She's picking the skills up quickly so far and recognizing when things aren't going right, which is a good sign.

Another new person started today. Did an hour of espresso training that combines some hands on making the espresso and steaming the milk with some this is what all the parts are and some overly technical details that I don't expect people to remember immediately.
