The cat has gotten bored of me and is now on the bed. The bedroom is the warmest room in the house (smaller windows, located directly above the furnace, lots of stuff that's good at holding in the heat).

Might also go in to use the bathroom. I'm out of toilet flushes at home until my pipes thaw.

It's warmed up to -15 (feels like -19). It looks like snow this evening and then warming above 0 tomorrow morning. I might need to leave the house to let a wholesale customer pick up their coffee, but they've got my mobile number and will let me know. Freight company with my next coffee shipment also isn't delivering today due to cold, rescheduled for tomorrow.

Pipes at home are still frozen but the espresso machine has water.

It's -20 out now. At least it's not expected to get any colder than that.

Pipes froze at the shop. Not really any point to opening if we can't serve drinks so I get another day off.

Despite my best efforts, all the pipes in the house are now frozen. So much for washing dishes. There's still plenty of water in the espresso machine and I have milk and juice available for drinking. The cat also has an adequate existing water supply and I could switch her to milk if needed.

It seems the cat has started to get jealous of stuffed animals. If I hug one she's like, "hey, you could be hugging me."

All the people who have asked for troubleshooting help this week have reported back that things are working now.

Finished with today's coffee roasting. All dark roasts today.

If anyone wants to send me tea or cat photos, I’d be much obliged

Shop will be closed tomorrow due to extremely cold expected temperatures.

microblogging is made up of two parts "micro", meaning small, and "blogging", short for "weblogging", which is made up of two parts "web", meaning that thing that spiders make, and "logging" meaning cutting down trees

so microblogging is when you're a spider that cuts down small trees

Woke up to find the cat made a little cave out of a blanket and my knees.
