I also considered putting it at the start of chapter 11, but I think it flows pretty naturally from the findings of chapter 9 and I'd rather put the material earlier than later.

Today's notes will probably end up at the end of chapter 9.

Wrote a few more pages of notes to incorporate into my book draft. I keep a small notebook in my pocket so when I think of things that ought to go in the book I can write those down. A ribbon holds the place where I haven't yet transferred those notes into the draft.

Don't trust cloud services. One day Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr will be gone too. YouTube will shut down, and so will Google Drive, OneDrive and DropBox.

Always keep a local copy.

I should probably clarify that that's QML extended by some custom C++ I've written. QML doesn't out of the box have anything appropriate for some of this stuff, but I've written that code for videos before so I can reuse that.

Spent a little time with the presentation for the next class I'm teaching. If I do redo it in QML then I can embed the raw data into the presentation and make the graphics a bit more dynamic.

I hear that the presentation template for the next event I'm teaching at is bad and instructors who ask are being told that they should just go with a neutral dark background instead of trying to use it. I might rework the whole thing in QML anyway (I use that for the visuals in a lot of my videos) so that would simplify matters a bit.

I should replay yoiyami dreamer (also, US release for this game when?)

Just saw someone recommending the local videos on my PeerTube server on a forum instead of linking people to the YouTube channel. video.typica.us/

I finished this cute little octopus cross-stitch yesterday, it was so much fun! 🦑😍✨

You'd think these Starfleet ships would get more science done if they didn't always park in geosynchronous orbit but nobody ever tells the away team they'll need to wait a few minutes for beam out until the ship is overhead.
