So the way this is going to go is we'll start by breaking into 8 groups. Each group goes to a different coffee roasting machine and roasts a coffee in a couple different ways (each group gets different roasting plans). Then we'll go to the classroom, I'll do a little lecture while the first cupping flight is set up, and we'll taste a range from light to dark roasts. Then more lecture, then tasting timing variations (what happens if you use more or less time in key ranges), then Q&A/discussion.

I now have all the information I need to reorganize the class I'm teaching at an event next month. I've been in a holding pattern waiting to find out if if I can get a screen set up in a cupping room or if the lecture and tasting portions need to happen in different rooms.

So what's with the uptick in people with programming experience leaving resumes for my barista job openings?

Also a little sad that I can recognize some of those randomly generated slugs for my stuff that some platforms use.

It's always nice when I see other people recommending stuff I made, especially when it's at the top of the list.

Cat: Why are you eating dinner when you could be hugging the cat?

There's a coffee truck. It's not the coffee truck I was expecting first, but it's the one that's here.

Some of the equipment in this game is ridiculous. I now have Reimu equipped with a giant pink bunny themed chainsaw and a super saiyan mushroom. At the start of each floor she gains giant status.

Helped the cat avoid falling off the couch. She seemed to appreciate that.

@neal "Hey Uncle Quark, don't all these hyumins in this history book look like Commander Sisko?"

"All hoomahns look the same."

Would have bought more groceries but there were 0 carts available. Where were the carts? I don't know, but not in the store. No baskets either so I limited myself to what I could hold in my hands. After cat litter, that's not much.

Yesterday's attempt at matching my sample roasting spec on the IKAWA resulted in coffee about 4 points lighter than I want and sensory confirms I want to push to a slightly hotter temperature. It's close enough I could still make a buying decision off any of those, but I'd rather put the time in up front to tweak the program and get exactly the results I want.
