Got a couple more requests for presentation slides, but now I can just copy/paste the links out of a previous outgoing email. The shop has a server running Nextcloud :nextcloud: so I'm pointing people at that. I'm also working on a short video run through of the slides and pointing people at a PeerTube :peertube: channel where that will exist once it's ready. (I'll also upload it to YouTube, but it'll have ads there which pay for the PeerTube hosting)

Recorded some audio for hopefully my next video. Next step, cleaning that up and trimming it down.

I've been informed that the coffee I've had on order from Sulawesi is now in the United States, tasting good, and ready to go on a truck to get the rest of the way to my shop. Looking forward to working with that. Will almost certainly be a dark roast.

Computer in the office suddenly decided that it should try to send email on port 25 instead of port 587. Why it randomly decided to change that setting, why that setting is hidden behind a badly labeled check box, I don't know. Dear Apple Mail on MacOS, don't break my settings and please pick a default that's sane for the year 2021.

Trying to get suppliers to send me invoices for stuff they've already sent so I can pay for it.

Pro tip: Making an ass of yourself just because you don''t think you should need to follow the mask mandate (clearly spelled out in big letters on a sign at eye level that you just walked past without reading) in a place required to enforce that is not going to improve the quality of service you get.

The credit union thinks I have more money than I think I have so I'll need to track that down. I found some of it in the form of payments made into the account that I didn't record at the time.

Got home from work to find the cat in exactly the same place she was when I left for work. I hope she wasn't there the whole time I was out.

Updated the coffee list on the web site. Some things that I don't have available to roast are removed, some things that have recently come in have been added. Removed items are still available in store until they're sold out, you just can't buy them through the web site.

Hi all: this account is in hybernation after #Gab functionally left the #fediverse, but wanted to wake it from slumber to note that all your work got noticed in a new ISD Report.

"There is precedent for open source communities to push back against those who seek to use their tools to promote hate speech. One such case is Mastodon, an open source social media community which has waged a long-running war of attrition against an influx of far-right users from Gab – a war which, as of December 2020, they appear to have won."

There are a few places where I use profile translation analysis and that's animated in the presentation to show what's going on there. Not quite as good in static screenshots.

If anybody wants to just have a look at the slides without the context of the rest of the class material, I put the screenshots here: atelier.wilsonscoffee.com/s/XD

Considering making a video out of my expo workshop slides. It can't realistically be the full class since random viewers on the Internet won't have the coffee to taste, but it might be a useful resource for other instructors who want to put together a similar class.

Kringle for breakfast. Still need a post-trip grocery run.

The cat was ready to come home. Just finished her house patrol and now ready for cuddles.

Decided to track down the author of that poster that I saw the typo (missing decimal point) in and they've gone back and wrote in the decimal point. Easy fix.
