Part of learning a new roaster is testing its limits. Halted this one at 4:20, fixed 80% fan, 540°F inlet.

The repaired sample roaster arrived and now it has successfully roasted a couple batches of coffee.

It's interesting to go over to the puzzle shelf and see what's there. The puzzles that come back aren't always the same as the puzzles that leave so there's a steady supply of new ones.

Instructions say they don't need the accessories that came with the machine but I'm still going to send back the travel case since that's going to be more secure than any bubble wrap I have on hand.

Financial math for roasting exercises. If better roasting gets you a bigger quality impact than spending another penny per pound on the raw coffee, it's worth doing the work.

This is the foot of my driveway now. Glad I wasn't parked there.
