Ordered more coffee. The selection of decafs available through the web site is pretty bad right now because I didn't want to accidentally take orders I couldn't fill promptly. I'll be able to fix that some time next week. I'm getting the last 3 bags in the Madison warehouse of the Sulawesi coffee I've been using a lot for training (some may or may not still be available out of Oakland, I know they had some there, too). Also adding a coffee from El Salvador to have something new on offer.

@gnomon I've already eaten it, but I can probably find the wrapper after work.

Hugged the cat. It's raining. She wants extra cuddles.

New chocolate bars arrived today so I'm giving up on selling the last bar featuring a moose wearing a scarf on the label. I'll just eat that one.

@cpsdqs Just go with whatever you like better and trust everybody else to figure it out?

Arrived home to find the cat trying very hard to make a big dent in the top of the couch.

Wow, the slightly less convenient to get in/out was 20 cents per gallon cheaper. Sold.

Need to buy gas today. The low gas light came on right after driving past the gas station on my way home from work yesterday.

Changed out my falling apart backpack for a lightly used bag I got at an event to use for carrying the laptop around. It's not ideal, but good enough until I decide what I want to do.

Getting in some good book edits today. While I do think that taking this release once it's ready approach will result in a better and more useful book, I am eager to have this done so I can move on to the next project.

@fribbledom Most of that seems like it could be pretty thin wrappers/adapters and there are indeed some neat possibilities for hooking all sorts of stuff into that. The gaming use case is compelling, but I think the easier it is to self-host as much as possible, the more control everybody has over their own experience. I remember when networked multiplayer was modems or LANs. Those games still work in contrast to too many examples where someone else controls the servers that got shut down.

@fribbledom If everybody hosts their own personal social network, what would anybody need a Facebook or a Twitter for?

Another online order came in today. Normally I'd pack that up and carry it to the post office. There's a chute through the wall where boxes with postage can be dropped without having to interact with other humans, but that lobby is no longer open 24/7 and is closed today so there's no point to dealing with that today except to take the money a day earlier so I'll just wait. If more orders come in I'd rather deal with them all at once.
