Based on sales so far, it looks like this year's fundraiser won't bring in as much money as previous years one day version of the event (an unrealistically huge number of last minute online orders could change that), but it's still several hundred dollars. The food collection barrel, however, is a lot fuller than it often is.

Only about 9 hours left to get in on the fundraiser for the food bank. Orders placed before January 4 (Central time zone) will have 20% donated. Orders placed today will be roasted and mailed tomorrow.

@badtuple @fribbledom This. There are games with so many distinct skills that unlock that I can barely remember what combination of button presses and gestures activates which skill when I'm actively playing the game. If I come back a year later there's no way I get back up to speed without just completely starting over.

US politics

@bgcarlisle What if Trump got a cut of that revenue though?

Removed Holiday Blend from the web site. I'm not making any more of the 2020 edition of that blend.

There's still time to get in on the 20% of sales going to the food bank (that's going on through tomorrow) if you need some coffee and want that purchase to support a worthy cause.

I'm not going to do it, but some days I really feel like putting an extra word charge on the menu. You read the menu, order a chai, you pay the price for a chai, but the borderline nonsensical "chai tea latté" costs extra. Maybe also a surcharge for translation from starbonics.

Last of the limited edition Peruvian coffee sold today. I might have a different LE coffee around Valentine's Day.

@morganth I have also observed this to be a thing. It's probably why the kids these days turn on the closed captions.

@steinbring If you get the right person taking your order, probably yes. Wouldn't hurt to ask.

tl;dr, co-op has a loading screen that murders my character before the battle even starts. Solo doesn't do that.

Solo, I can clear it in about a minute and a half with a party of Anemo traveller, Klee, Fischl, and Qiqi (and sometimes be at full health at the end of that). Nobody needs to yell at Klee.

How bad was it? Here's how my co-op attempt went:

1. Set Klee as my character for co-op.
2. Make sure I'm at full health and warm.
3. Go to the challenge marker, get matched to co-op.
4. Get white loading screen. (ugh)
5. When the game comes back, the challenge is already in progress, Klee has 0HP, there's a revive prompt.
6. Revived Klee is on the other side of a force field unable to help and Diluc is yelling at her to click the light.
7. There was no light.
8. Challenge failed.

Finished cleaning out the event shop in the current Genshin Impact event. I had to do the challenges solo because co-op was unplayably awful.

@deshipu@mastodon.technology And now almost everybody is using a derivative of KHTML.

@deshipu@mastodon.technology I remember looking at the code when Netscape first open sourced their browser thinking it might be nice to keep that going on my 68LC040 based Mac. I very quickly decided that in fact I did not want to work on that code base.

The shop is closed today, but the web site is open and our New Year's Day (except this year extending to the 3rd) fundraiser for Racine County Food Bank has started. Until end of day January 3, 20% of all sales will be donated (includes shipping, doesn't include sales tax but whole bean coffee isn't taxable in Wisconsin). Web orders placed today will get roasted tomorrow.

Last night's tech support excursion was a success. My mother is now paying $100 less per month (dropping television and a phone line she wasn't using) and getting Internet (that she does use) that's 8x as fast.
