New candy shipment arrived today but one of the items was marked with a best by date of today so I'm not selling/paying for that. The rest of the order was fine so now I have chocolates wrapped up to look like ladybugs. I wish the hedgehogs were sold unbundled. Those always sell fast.

They also got video of the end of a big batch of coffee from Papua New Guinea.

Talked to the TV crew so people in SE WI might be able to see me on TMJ4.

A television crew is out today working on the story I was quoted on in the newspaper yesterday.

Today someone wanted me to ship them 25 teabags. Personally, I'd just look harder for a local tea seller and find something to enjoy there, but if they really want to pay more for postage than for the tea, I'll sell it.

Oddly, nobody mentioned seeing the quote. That might be because it's on 4A (though it's in big bold call out on that page) or it might be because nobody reads newspapers. I can't go to their web site because of how actively hostile it is toward its readers (this is a big part of why I won't buy advertising with them).

Local newspaper used my quote. Someone wants to open a bar near my shop. I'd rather they had food because then I'd be more likely to go there myself, but I'm cautiously optimistic. I'd definitely rather have a bar than a predatory lending outfit.

I've apparently become someone that newspaper reporters talk to in order to get quotes from people about topics they have not thought on deeply. I reject about half of those requests because I know I'd rather read informed opinion instead of what someone pulls out of their ass in 30 seconds.

Placed a 2nd order with one of my more recent suppliers. When first setting up the account I was told to send future orders to a different company that was their local rep, but they had zero communication with me so I put my contact at the company on cc and found out that the local rep no longer has anything to do with them.

A good salesperson can be valuable for a company, but these sorts of regional exclusive deals make no sense in the age of the Internet.

The unlock button on my car key fob no longer works. I can probably rip that apart and fix it again, but at this point it probably makes more sense to just switch to the mostly unused spare fob.
