Today I got to see the next door neighbor's good dog being silly.

(I don't actually see this as a problem. Sometimes having the stopwatch value persistently there is useful, other times it's not, and the control to switch from one behavior to the other is conveniently accessible.)

KDE Connect is apparently picking up a fresh notification every second if I run the stock stopwatch on my phone. This makes it impossible to dismiss the little notification thingy unless I switch to Do Not Disturb mode.

I have, at least, locked in my price on what I hope to be my next year of Costa Rican coffee and am not expecting a need to raise prices on that one any time soon. Historically that's been on the more expensive side of my line, but that might not be true anymore by the end of the year (and not because it's getting cheaper).

As I've been raising prices and getting the question so far I've been able to say that while Trump isn't helping anything, what we're seeing is a supply side issue that he also can't fairly be blamed for. Going forward, this is no longer the case. Sorry for the higher prices but someone missed the history lesson that taxing coffee imports is an un-American activity. I'm trying my best over here to deliver good quality at a fair price, but I'm not going to sell at a loss or use cheap crap.

The cat will likely be upset with me when I get home as she was asleep when I left the house and did not get her morning sitting on me time in. I should buy more cat food.

Got a good amount of coding done while waiting for the coffee truck to arrive and was at a good stopping point when it did. Have left notes on the next thing to do (stubbed out the next chunk I want to work on), but now that I'm not waiting for the truck there's other stuff that needs doing.

Coffee truck has arrived.

Had to scavenge some adapters from other things to get some stuff set up (need to pick up a couple things so the scavenged bits can go back where they belong, nothing too expensive) but it's all working so that's nice.

When I woke up this morning there was a cat on my back. She normally waits until I'm awake to do more than sit on my hands.

I did a search for the company they're allegedly from and it's either erectile dysfunction or Indian outsourcing so I don't think I'm really missing out on anything here (and if it really were legit they'd give more details, not read like a template, and send it by email).

@mhoye So you're saying AI needs the equivalent of Deep Space 9's Cellular Regeneration and Entertainment Chamber which sends uplifting and entertaining messages to cellular nuclei in order to prevent the cells in your body from becoming bored to death?

@jamey I'm reminded of an art teacher I had in high school who needed help getting a machine on. They were trying to just press the button on the monitor thinking that would turn the whole thing on, but the confusion was somewhat more understandable by the need to press the switch for the power strip feeding everything on the cart. I could easily imagine myself missing that. (I also showed them the computer and the power button on that).
