Was hoping to get 1.9.1 proper out before retreat but stuff kept coming up. Everything is in the release branch for anybody who cares to compile it themselves and the only difference from rc1 are updated version strings. Will try to get to finishing up a proper release when I get back from this trip.

I think the underlying problem with maths and veggies are the same: they're presented badly. If your exposure to peas are these awful overcooked mush spheres you're not going to want to eat peas, but if you present foods in a way that they taste good there's less resistance to eating it. Math instruction is similarly all too frequently awful, which is a shame because it can be fun and useful.
Last night I picked up an HDMI➡️ VGA adapter just in case I get to the event and find that the AV setup only has VGA. Tested that it works and at least with the local setup I don't need to supply additional power to the adapter (it has a warning tag saying if an image doesn't show up, apply more power). I want to test things as best I can before leaving the extra emergency computers at home.
The airline is now recommending showing up 2 hours before *domestic* flights because TSA is that bad now
Today I noticed that some people send email in HTML with the text color explicitly set to black but without setting a background color (ensuring that it's basically unreadable to anybody using a dark theme). All of these emails would be better sent as plain text. The HTML adds nothing but more bytes to transfer and store.
YPP purge mention, YT stats
Looking at the stats, it looks like that's the highest my channel has ever gotten for single day watch time when I wasn't actively trying to drive traffic there (the record is 4,136 in the run up to YPP purge)
Now that I have traffic source stats it looks like that massive spike in YT traffic came from Perfect Daily Grind, but I'm still a little confused because I didn't see anything new there. The day ended at 2,241 minutes watched (compared with an average of 598 for the month not counting that) and views were up about 400 over normal. Stats are still elevated, but I wish they were hitting my PeerTube instance instead. I'd like to see how it handles what is relatively high load for my stuff.
