I still haven't tried that coffee beer that I was given recently. After forgetting to take it home the first night I just haven't had a good opportunity for it. I want to drink that with something on my stomach and not too late at night. One of my customers, however, has tried it, and says it's the best coffee beer he's ever had. Maybe I'll get to that tonight.
Drafted a letter resigning from a committee to send in the event that I don't get an acceptable response from SCA leadership prior to the next meeting. If there isn't a change in how they're approaching education (the new path, I feel, runs counter to the association's mission) I feel my efforts will be better spent on more broadly accessible training efforts such as the book I'm writing. I will, as always, be willing to provide solicited advice by email as I've always done for industry peers.
Drafted a letter explaining why I'm not renewing my AST license. Sent that out privately for some feedback, but the gist of it is that the people who have put in years of volunteer labor toward developing a curriculum should not be expected to pay thousands of dollars for the ability to teach that. Chasing off the people who are doing the work instead of running the training labs can only lead to a decline in the quality and credibility of the program in the long term. #coffee #prodev
