New coffees arrived today. One can go out as soon as I've decided how I want to roast it so that's currently running through product development. I still need to talk to two more suppliers about other coffees.

Contracting some coffee to ship at the start of July.

My book should have better roasting graphs and probably a lack of anthropomorphized fires.

Speaking of reference notes, today I received this gift in the mail. The note inside says that this book wasn't published, but was made available to people who bought a $2M Scolari roaster.

I considered writing up a page with additional references/supporting information for the latest video but decided that I was already far enough behind on getting that out and would rather just get the video out for now. Maybe some day I'll go back to writing up some notes.

When I first planned this episode I was worried that maybe it was going to come in too short, but it ended up at just over 38 minutes, which makes it the longest episode in the series to date.

Edits done, render checked, all set to upload tomorrow (I'll probably get that started on PeerTube in about 1.5 hours when it's tomorrow local time and YouTube substantially later in the day).

YOU: so the A in RAID stands for "Array"?
US: Yes.
YOU: doesn't that mean saying "RAID array" is redundant?
US: Of course. That's what the R is for.

Recording is done. Some minimal editing is still required, but I should be able to knock that out this evening and get this uploaded tomorrow. Be sure to watch til the end for a special guest appearance by Punk, the cat.

Doing some final checks before recording the next episode of Coffee and Code. I've decided to film this episode in my library in front of a painting that I picked up on my first trip to Ethiopia.

If I do decide to drive to the next event I'm teaching at I've been invited over to visit someone about 2/3 of the way between here and there. That could make the drive a little easier.

Visuals for the next video are done. If I can get that recorded tonight I can probably slam out the edits and upload that tomorrow.

I decided to create a small survey to ask a few non-personal questions about Fediverse users, their opinions on its various platforms, and their thoughts on non-Fediverse networks, such as Facebook and Twitter.

The survey is oriented at people who currently use the Fediverse, and does not provide any way of saying that you do not currently use it.

If you’d like to participate in the survey, you can do so here. It opens at midnight on the 13th of May at midnight AEST (12th of May, 2pm UTC), and closes one month later on the 13th of June. I’ll be posting the results every now and then until it closes.

Please answer honestly, and send it to your friends if you’d like them to participate too! :mlem:

The cat is watching the dishwasher. Why is the cat watching the dishwasher? I don't know, but it seems to be one of her favorite things to look at. It doesn't even work.

Finished the last trophy in Nelke that requires any kind of decision making. I don't see how I met the requirements, but it popped anyway so *shrug*. Two more left for the platinum but they're pure grind. I can effectively put my city on auto and they'll happen eventually.

Most of the visuals for the next video are done. Probably not finishing that tonight, but I like what I have so far.

This is also more likely to happen when the cupping is strictly blind. When I'm evaluating to make purchase decisions all I see is a number and it isn't until after I'm done that I reference that back to any other information I have about the coffee.
