I've had entirely too much human interaction today. Looking forward to going home and having a nap with the cat.

I recently met the new manager of one of the area Starbucks locations. She's in my shop a couple times a day. It's a popular place for people who work at what some might consider competing shops but I don't read too much into that. Sometimes you want the thing you do at work but don't want to be at your workplace to get it.

I prefer to taste coffee in the dark. Leaving the lights off helps me focus non-visual senses.

Did 3 interviews today. I still have a couple more people to interview before picking which people get offered the jobs first.

There are still some instructor slots to fill for my next class but the people who are already confirmed are amazing. Students, bring your questions.

New espresso machines have been delivered to the installer. Install scheduled for 10am tomorrow.

Bought a giant sandwich for lunch today. There's enough left over that it's also dinner.

(this is how I justify using very C like C++ for anything sitting behind a web server, I don't work on anything that justifies that from a performance perspective)

Choosing a programming language not because you think it's the best choice for the program you're working on, but because you already know how to do what you want in that language and just want to get the work done.

Machines went from being loaded on a trailer for delivery to not going out for delivery.

Are keys a fruit?

Installed libpq headers on another server because why would I static link locally and then just send the binaries over when I can ssh to the server and do my code/compile/deploy right there where the stuff is going to live?

In fact, I could probably get the place fully staffed with programmers, ballerinas, and retired teachers.
