During product development, this consistently tasted as if I had roasted it about 10F° hotter than I did, which was interesting when I started comparing my cupping notes to my roasting records. I wanted a medium roast flavor profile, but this peculiarity massively compressed the range I had to work with there. This one has a little less body than I usually get out of a Peruvian coffee but a lot more sweetness.

Trying production test batches of some of the new coffees that arrived recently. First up is a Swiss Water Process Decaf Peru that's Fair Trade Certified and was organic until I touched it (not because I'm doing anything that would sensibly make the coffee not organic but because Congress botched the law around how that works and I refuse to support something that's equivalent to a mob protection racket in the US.

Tasted 37 cups of coffee. I think I'm done with that for the day.

My mother has an appointment to get vaccinated. I'll have a bit of a wait because on the one hand the federal government considers my work essential for national security and the state also considers me to be an essential worker, but not so essential to get me protected earlier. (It's okay, I can wait)

Coffee delivery arrived. Should have some new stuff on the web site over the weekend.

I feel a little bit sorry for my Qiqi. Every time I'm about to max out her weapon I end up swapping it out and starting over. Started with The Flute, got it to level 85 max refinement before getting Primordial Jade Cutter and switching to that. Now that weapon is up at level 89 and I'll be passing that on to Keqing (who I expect to pull after work tonight) and starting over on Aquila Favonia which I got failing to get Keqing on the permanent banner so I could save my pity guarantee for Hu Tao.

The cat was surprised to see me home early but she's happy to hang out and receive cuddles.

Update on the current road construction insanity: the barrels and blockades will be removed hopefully by tomorrow morning and nobody knows why those were put up in the first place.

Went into work pretty much only to make the decision to shut down early for the day. Too much snow, not enough sales, and the road construction people went insane yesterday setting up barrels and closing side streets 6 weeks before they're even scheduled to start prep work (my alder has yelled at the mayor's office to get to the bottom of that mess).

Another week, another week of not getting the boss drop I need for raising the level on Ganyu's talents (what am I supposed to do with 11 Tusk of Monoceros Caeli? I guess I can give them to Xinyan?)

Last night the cat accidentally stabbed me in the leg while I was asleep.

Lots of boxes going out today. Two thirds of those boxes are all going to the same customer.

Saw a wine display advertising it as "locally produced" but also imported from a country half way around the world and like, yeah, anything was produced local to where it was made, but maybe that shouldn't be your global pitch.

Managed to forget I had groceries in the car on the way home from the grocery store. Thankfully, the cat reminded me.

Sadly, Amber is only at C2. Maybe some day I'll have a C4 Amber so I can have two dancing stuffed bunnies helping.
