Every time my phone updates the manufacturer shovelware that can't be deleted gets more obnoxious. Don't make me jailbreak.

Lately everybody claiming to try to get a job at my shop is apparently a complete flake. There was the person whose availability got smaller multiple times before their first shift (to the point that training would become impossible), the person who is definitely legal to work but can't manage to hang on to the documentation we need to verify that, and now the person who same day rescheduled their interview and then failed to show up for that with no notice.

But let's be honest here. If heroes kept trying to invade /your/ dungeon, wouldn't you want to take over the world to stop that nuisance once and for all, too?

Those screenshots are from "No Heroes Allowed! VR", a sequel to the PSP game that at least for the English release was titled, "Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This?" in which you manage your monster ecosystem to thwart so-called heroes looking to make a name for themselves by defeating a demon lord that's just chilling at the bottom of his dungeon not hurting anybody. In the VR game you take a more active role in conquering castles.

Today I figured out how to get secondary axes on charts drawn by LibreOffice. It's not hard, I just never use spreadsheets.

Picked up a couple more endings and the platinum trophy for Timespinner. Pretty sure two of the endings have minor variations that you get for doing less stuff before getting those, but I'd need a third play through to find out.

After work I put my laptop bag down on the cat seat. The cat did not like that.

Tasting production test batches of new coffees. One of these is delicious and requires no change to the label from the last time I had a similar coffee. The other is also delicious and requires a label change (I knew this would need that because of at least a product name change).

After about 24 hours of random shutdowns, loud noises, and severe vibrations, the wonky fan has switched back near normal noise levels and the computer no longer feels like it's trying to shake itself apart. There's still a low level noise that's not normally there, but hopefully I'll be able to get some work done.

alternating between using my hand to eat and petting the cat.

Set up a 2nd email account on the phone so I don't need to leave the computer on just for that. It's probably best if I just let it rest as much as possible.

So I guess the plan for today is to keep a temperature monitor up and if I see it spike, hit save really fast.

Placing a pitcher of ice in the air intake path (lowering the temperature of the reduced air coming in) seems to help a bit

It seems the defective fan is also not moving enough air to prevent thermal shutdown. That's going to make me substantially less productive.

No, I didn't mean "blast cherry". Who would even intentionally search for that?
